Community Healthcare Centres

The way in which services are delivered in the 21st century is changing at a rapid pace. At Issa Group, we believe that healthcare has failed to keep up with these changes. It is because of this firm belief that right from its very inception, Issa Group have been looking to change the way healthcare is delivered, to ensure that patients are able to access the highest quality services in the easiest possible manner. One key sector in which we have been successful in doing so is through the redevelopment of community landmarks in to state-of-the-art healthcare centres and care ‘villages’.

At Issa Group, we have a keen interest in preserving local heritage. It is for this reason that all of our large healthcare developments take historical landmarks, which are in dire need of preservation, and transform them in to healthcare centres. However, whenever Issa Group have transformed these community landmarks, we have always ensured that one thing has remained unchanged: these landmarks must remain available for the use of the community. By redeveloping them for care purposes, we believe that we have been successful in fulfilling this aim.

Guttridge Medical Centre

When it was announced that the Guttridge Methodist Church in Deepdale, Preston would be closing down, after more than 100 years of service to the residents of Deepdale, Issa Group saw an opportunity here to ensure that the Church remains to serve the local community, albeit in a different way.

Through our construction team, we have sympathetically restored this historical Church making way for three practices from the Deepdale area, one pharmacy, and other enhanced NHS services. It is our hope at Issa Group that this Church, through our redevelopment and relaunch as Guttridge Medical Centre, will once again be a place of salvation for the residents of Deepdale.
